We would like to provide an update on the mask rules curently in effect:
Consistent with state and county public health orders, mask mandates for indoor public places have been lifted effective February 16, 2022 for fully vaccinated clients (or caregivers). We still highly recommend that all patrons visiting our salon to wear masks indoors.
We are still by appointment only. Same day appointments may be available, just give us a call at (805) 379-5379!
Your continued patience as we continue to “open back up” is greatly appreciated. We have been operating on shortened hours and closing additional days due to being short staffed and candidates are simply not applying at this time. We are thankful for our current team of excellent stylists and even more thankful to you for supporting our business throughout this pandemic year!

** UPDATE JUNE 15, 2021 **
California officially reopens today!
We would like to provide an update on the mask rules coming into effect starting today:
1. Fully vaccinated clients (or caregivers) will be allowed to join us without wearing a face mask
2. Non-vaccinated clients (or caregivers) will still be required to wear face masks. Exceptions will be made only if accompanied by a medical note according to the CDC guidelines.
3. Children under the age of 12 (and over 2) will also be required to wear face masks.
4. We are still by appointment only. Same day appointments may be available, just give us a call at (805) 379-5379!

** UPDATE JANUARY 25, 2021 **
As has been reported, California officials are lifting the regional coronavirus stay-at-home orders across the state which went into effect on December 06, 2020. All counties, including Ventura County will return to the colored tier system that was in effect prior to the regional orders. Consistent with being in the Purple Tier, Ventura County should be allowing hair salons and barbershops to open indoors with modifications. Sparkles & Spikes will be reopening indoor operations starting Thursday, January 28, 2021. If your appointment was cancelled while our salon was closed, or you would like to schedule an appointment, please call us at (805) 379-5379 or text (818) 523-9229. We appreciate your patience and will get back to each and every one of you in the order we receive your calls and emails.
BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - Given the County of Ventura restrictions, we will be open by appointment only. Same day appointments may be available, just call! While we understand that situations arise beyond your control, it is very important that everyone is on time for appointments. Due to the changes and additional protocols in place, we have allotted additional time to clean and disinfect all workstations and tools in between appointments. If you are more than five (5) minutes late you may not be able to be serviced.
We hold your appointments just for you and ask that if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment you please provide us with 24-hours notice. Cancellations or "no-shows" may result in being required to prepay for services when another appointment is made.

** UPDATE DECEMBER 07, 2020 **
The State of California's Stay Home Order will go into effect on Sunday, December 06, 2020 at midnight in Ventura County and in all Counties in Southern California, after the Southern California Regional's hospital ICU capacity dropped below 15%
​
The order requires bars, wineries, nail salon hair salons and barbershops, and other personal care services to close.
​
We look forward to see you all again as soon as possible!

For those of you who had scheduled an appointment for the upcoming weeks, or who are still looking to schedule an appointment, we will reach out to each and every one of you to reshedule once we are allowed to reopen.
