Before sending each photo, confirm that you are 18 or older and that it is your own adult photo, or a photo of your child for whom you are the parent or legal guardian. Confirm your authority and separately agree to this photo's private processing. These are your declarations; we do not verify your age, identity or guardianship from them.

This permission covers preparing and checking the photo, available hairstyle suggestions and creating your requested preview. It does not authorize public gallery posts, advertising, social sharing or model training. Booking, an account or permission for a salon photograph does not replace it. You can book without AI or a private photo.

When processing is available, a guest can request 1 preview per day, and a signed-in customer can request 3. The day resets at midnight UTC. The customer allowance follows the actual account across sessions and devices; guest limits use the browser and network, so a shared network can affect availability.

All previews also use the website's shared AI budget. An available allowance does not guarantee a successful result. Once a generation attempt is reserved, a failed or uncertain provider call is not automatically refunded. Do not repeatedly submit an uncertain request; a duplicate does not create another result.

• Use one still JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP or supported HEIC/HEIF photo, up to 5 MB (5,000,000 bytes). Videos, image sequences and animated images are not accepted.
• Show one person with clearly visible hair. The photo must be at least 250 pixels wide and tall; very large or narrow images may need resizing.
• Choosing a file or using your camera initially keeps the photo on your device. Some devices cannot display a local HEIC/HEIF preview; the selected file can still be prepared after you give permission and continue.

Sending is a separate step. If processing is unavailable, your photo and hairstyle wish are not sent. When you continue, the service decodes and prepares a smaller JPEG without embedded metadata, including file location tags. Your image itself may still reveal personal information.

1. Prepare and check. The service checks the prepared photo for inappropriate content. Ordinary clothed child portraits are allowed with the parent's or guardian's permission. A disallowed or uncertain check can stop processing; screening does not guarantee safety or verify authority.
2. Choose your style. Available photo suggestions are labelled separately from general style choices. You can add a short hairstyle wish; leave names, health details and other sensitive information out.
3. Review the hair area. Highlight only hair and the space the new style needs. Keep the face, eyes, skin and body clear, then confirm the selection and face protection. A changed photo, area, style or wish needs a new review.
4. Create and review. The selected hairstyle is generated separately from Ask Ginger. Check the result before saving or sharing it yourself.

Cloudflare Images prepares the photo. Cloudflare Workers AI processes the prepared image for content screening, available hairstyle suggestions and image editing. The processors used for this workflow are Cloudflare Clef-flash, Meta Llama 3.2 Vision and Black Forest Labs FLUX.2 Klein 4B. The image-edit request also includes your reviewed hairstyle wish.

Cloudflare's AI data-use terms state that it does not use your inputs or outputs to train models or improve services without explicit consent. This preview does not request that training consent. Cloudflare's data processing terms and applicable model terms govern provider handling. Temporary website handling is not a promise of zero provider retention, a particular processing country or immediate erasure from every provider system.

The result is an illustrative AI preview, not a promise of your finished haircut. Hair texture, length and lighting affect it; edges or details can look unnatural. It does not book a stylist or appointment.

The prepared image is preserved outside the area you approve, except for the small Sparkles & Spikes logo at the bottom right. Anything mistakenly selected can change, so review carefully. Preservation of the prepared image does not guarantee perfect likeness to the original upload.

Use Save my preview to download the branded PNG to your device before leaving. No result is automatically published or sent to a stylist. You control downloaded copies and any sharing from your device.

The older saved-photo library uses a separate notice and a 24-hour application expiry. New library uploads and processing remain closed in this release; the temporary preview does not add photos there or reopen library sharing.

If you already have library items, use Family Hub's private styles page to review the controls available for them, request deletion or revoke sharing. Those stored records and their cleanup are separate from this temporary preview. Revocation cannot remove copies already downloaded or photographed by someone else.

The prepared source and your review are bound to your guest browser or signed-in account. They expire within 10 minutes of source preparation; reviewing does not restart that clock. After expiry, select and confirm a photo again.

The website keeps source, review and result data in page memory and temporary request processing. It does not save source or result photos in its cloud photo library or account records, chat history or analytics. Resetting or leaving clears page data; save a received result before leaving. Your original local file and any download remain on your device under your control.

Non-photo security, allowance, request and shared-budget counters are retained separately. Closing the page cannot recall provider processing already started. For account data requests, use Family Hub's privacy controls or contact us.

Ginger's photo link opens the same private hairstyle workflow. Your selected photo and hairstyle wish are not transferred into the conversation or chat memory. Use that dedicated workflow rather than general chat, email or the management form for a child's photo.
